Gridder

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. Purpose and scope

This policy sets out what you may and may not do when using Gridder. "Gridder" is the service operated by Feesorted Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with number 17201366 and registered office at Second Floor Flat East, 44 Regents Park Road, London, England, NW1 7SX. "We" means Feesorted Limited. "You" means any person who uses Gridder, and the group (the company) on whose subscription that person has access. "Group" means a company that holds a subscription; "Administrator" means a user of a group who invites members and manages licences; "Channels" means the website, the Excel add-in, the data API and the MCP server; "API Key" means a credential issued to a group for the data API or the MCP server.

This policy applies to every Channel and to every person using Gridder. It forms part of the Terms of Use and of each customer's subscription agreement. If this policy conflicts with a signed or accepted customer agreement, that agreement prevails. Gridder is a professional service for businesses and professional investors.

2. General principles

  1. Use Gridder only for lawful, professional purposes within the scope of your group's subscription.
  2. Use it in a way that does not harm Gridder, other users, or the people and organisations whose documents Gridder processes.
  3. Do not try to do indirectly what this policy forbids you from doing directly.
  4. Keep in mind that Gridder's outputs are automated and indicative. Read the Data Disclaimer and No-Reliance Notice before relying on any value.

3. Permitted use

Within your subscription and the number of licences, seats and products purchased, you may:

4. Prohibited use

You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:

4.1 Unlawful and harmful use

  1. use Gridder for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any law, regulation, sanctions regime or third-party right;
  2. use Gridder to commit or facilitate fraud, market abuse, insider dealing or market manipulation;
  3. introduce malware or any code intended to damage, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to Gridder or to any other system;
  4. harass, defame or threaten any person through feedback, uploads or any other feature.

4.2 Misuse of the service

  1. share your sign-in credentials, or let anyone who is not a licensed user of your group use your account;
  2. share API Keys outside your group, publish them, embed them in client-side code distributed to others, or use a key from an IP address you were not permitted to use where a key is IP bound;
  3. circumvent or interfere with rate limits, seat limits, licence limits, product locks, IP restrictions, usage logging or any other technical control, including by using multiple accounts or keys to avoid a limit;
  4. probe, scan or test the security of Gridder, or attempt to access data or areas you are not authorised to access, except as permitted under section 8;
  5. overload or disrupt the service, including by automated requests that go beyond rate limits or normal professional use;
  6. access Gridder by automated means other than the data API, the MCP server and the Excel add-in, for example by scraping the website;
  7. reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code, models, prompts, rules or extraction methods of Gridder, except to the extent the law allows despite this restriction;
  8. remove, obscure or alter any notices, source references, page citations, quotes or attribution.

4.3 Misuse of data

  1. resell, sublicense, redistribute or make Gridder data available to anyone outside your group as a data product, feed, database, index or competing service;
  2. systematically download, extract or copy a substantial part of the Gridder library or build a database or service from it, whether by automated means or manually, or use it to build, train, fine-tune or evaluate a competing product or machine learning model;
  3. present Gridder data as your own independent analysis, or as the work of the issuer, arranger or any other party, or as approved or endorsed by Gridder;
  4. represent that Gridder data is accurate, complete, verified or fit for a regulatory, accounting, legal or valuation purpose, or pass it to a third party without telling them that it is automated, indicative and unverified;
  5. use Gridder data as a benchmark, index or reference rate, or as a basis for credit ratings, or in any regulated calculation, without independent verification against the source documents;
  6. use Gridder data to train, fine-tune, evaluate or ground any machine learning model or artificial intelligence system, or enter it into a third-party AI service that retains or uses it for such purposes.

4.4 Misuse of uploads and feedback

  1. upload a document you have no right to upload, or that you are bound by confidentiality, contract or law not to disclose to us or to your group, or that contains personal data beyond ordinary business details, or that contains material not related to the product;
  2. offer a document for the public list if it is confidential, non-public, subject to restrictions, or if you do not have the right to authorise us to process it, to keep it indefinitely and to show it to other subscribers;
  3. upload anything that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or contains malware or hidden code;
  4. include in a feedback message or screenshot any special category personal data, passwords, secret keys or information you are not entitled to share.

4.5 Misleading use of the service

  1. impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity, group or affiliation;
  2. use the name or branding of Gridder in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or authorship by us.

5. Data use, attribution and downstream use

Your use of the data is subject to your subscription terms. You may use Gridder data in your own internal work and in materials you give your own clients if you (a) do not provide the data in bulk, (b) tell recipients that the data is indicative and was produced by automated means from the source documents, (c) tell them to verify it against the source documents, and (d) do not suggest that we endorse your work. The source documents belong to their publishers and the quotes shown are for reference. Any further use of those documents, for example reproduction beyond what is permitted by law, is your responsibility.

6. Security responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  1. keeping credentials and API Keys confidential and using strong, unique passwords;
  2. telling your Administrator immediately if you suspect misuse of an account or key;
  3. promptly removing members who leave your group or no longer need access (Administrators);
  4. telling us promptly at support@getgridder.com if you become aware of a breach, vulnerability or misuse affecting Gridder.

7. Monitoring

We log use of Gridder, including requests and server events, and these records may include your IP address. We use the logs to operate and protect the service, to apply limits and bills, and to detect breaches of this policy, as described in the Privacy Notice. We may review logs and any other information held on Gridder, including documents and feedback, to investigate a suspected breach, to maintain the service or to meet our legal duties.

8. Responsible security reporting

We welcome reports of vulnerabilities made in good faith. Report them to support@getgridder.com with enough detail to reproduce the issue. Please:

We will not take legal action against someone who acts in good faith within these limits. This does not authorise any activity that is otherwise unlawful, and we offer no reward or payment and make no commitment to respond or to fix a reported issue by any time.

9. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe that you or your group has breached this policy, we may, depending on the seriousness and with or without notice where we consider it necessary to protect the service or others:

  1. warn you or your Administrator and ask for the conduct to stop (we are not obliged to do so first);
  2. limit or throttle access, revoke API Keys, or lock a product or account;
  3. suspend access to some or all of Gridder;
  4. terminate access in line with the customer's agreement;
  5. remove uploaded or offered documents or data;
  6. pass information to the police, regulators or other authorities if we think the law requires or permits it;
  7. take legal action, and claim from you the losses we suffer, as far as the law permits.

Where practicable, and unless the breach is serious, we aim to tell the Administrator and give a chance to remedy the breach before taking the more serious steps, but we are not obliged to. We are not liable for any action we take under this section in good faith. Suspension does not relieve a customer from paying fees due.

10. Liability

You are responsible for the acts and omissions of every person who uses Gridder under your group's subscription, as if they were your own. You will indemnify us against the losses, claims and costs we suffer from your breach of this policy, as the Terms of Use or your agreement provide. Our own liability is limited as the Terms of Use say. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

11. Changes to this policy

We may change this policy at any time to reflect changes in the service, in law or in risk. We may give notice of changes through the website or by email to Administrators, and the changed policy applies from the date shown. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept it. The version and date are shown at the top.

12. Governing law and contact

This policy is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, as set out in the Terms of Use. Questions to hello@getgridder.com. Legal notices to legal@getgridder.com. Other routes are in Contact and Complaints.
